During the period of validity of the Lisboa Card, the use of public transportation is free of charge. The following means of transport are included:

  • Metro
  • Buses in Lisbon (CARRIS)
  • Streetcars in Lisbon incl. historic streetcar 28 (CARRIS)
  • Funiculars (Lavra, Glória, Bica)
  • Elevador de Santa Justa
  • Bridge train to Setúbal (Fertagús)
  • CP trains to Cascais, Azambuja and Sintra

Before using the means of transport, you must add your name, the date and the current time to the Lisboa Card. Only then is it activated.

You can also use the Lisboa Card to travel from the airport to the city. You can take the metro from the airport directly into the city center of Lisbon. However, this is only worthwhile if you start sightseeing immediately afterwards, as the validity period begins with the first use.
